Garlic Butter Shrimp
You guys know I’m not adventurous in the kitchen, and this four-ish ingredient recipe is no exception. All you need is butter, garlic, lemon, and shrimp. Bonus points for fresh herbs like basil. Pair this protein-rich main with a couple of sides and you’re set for a fancy-feeling dinner at home that’s ready in minutes.
Garlic Butter Shrimp
INGREDIENTS
Serves: 2
1 tablespoon salted butter
2 large cloves garlic
3/4 lb. shrimp, shelled + cleaned
1 lemon
Salt + pepper
Fresh herbs for topping (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Add butter to heated pan. Coat the pan with the butter.
As the butter is melting, use a grater or microplane to grate the garlic cloves into the butter. Prepare for your kitchen to smell phenomenal.
Once you’ve added the garlic, place shrimp in the pan (see photo below). Squeeze 1/2 of the lemon and add a dash of salt + cracked pepper.
Flip the shrimp once they appear pink and opaque on the bottom side and add the rest of the lemon juice and another dash of salt + pepper to second side. Cook until this second side also appears pink and opaque.
Remove shrimp from the pan, top with fresh herbs if adding.
